Hi. My name is Steven Tuddenham. I have been at Ipswich North State School since the beginning of 2005. I took up my first teaching position in Charleville with a year 7 class. While there, I also had the opportunity to work for a year with the School of Distance Education. Since moving back to Ipswich I have worked in a number of different roles for Education Queensland. I am married with 3 children. In my spare time I enjoy watching sports, cycling, gardening and spending time with family. I like being a teacher at Ipswich North State School and have had some great experiences working here.

I have been teaching at Ipswich North for 1 semester. Before this time I taught at Cleremont Special School for 10 years. It's been hard work adjusting and learning, but the staff and students are fantastic. I love spending time with my Golden Retriever and my son.

I have been teaching Japanese at North Ipswich Primary for the last five years and have seen a gradual progression in the success of students with the language. having studied Japanese since primary school myself, I know what a challeging language it is. After high school, I went on to study a Japanese degree at Queensland University and have also lived in Japan. During the two and a half years spent teaching English in Japan, I learnt many interesting things about Japanese people. I bathed in a Japanese public bath (and wasn't too embarrassed) and ate some strange things like sea urchin! I am going back to enjoy a white Christmas there this year and will hopefully return with some goodies for my students (but not sea urchin!)
